A New Concord man was arrested on two felony drug charges Friday, several months after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was conducted July 2023 that led deputies to obtain a search warrant on a residence in New Concord. Deputies said they located illicit drugs and what is believed to be a counterfeit $100 bill inside the home. A warrant was then issued for the arrest of Allen R. Erwin, 41, of New Concord.
Erwin was arrested at approximately 5 p.m. in New Concord and lodged at the Calloway County Jail on that warrant. He was charged with cultivating marijuana, fewer than five plants, first offense (Class A misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense – methamphetamine (Class D felony); possession of drug paraphernalia; and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree (Class C felony).
