New Junior Hockey League Team to Begin Play in New Hampshire this Year

A group of local investors are taking ownership of the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett and are planning to make facility upgrades ahead of the arrival of a new junior hockey league team.

The New Hampshire Mountain Kings, which will be part of the North American Hockey League, will feature players who go on to play at the college level and beyond.

“You’ll see tremendous hockey. Tier 2 junior hockey is something that has not been showcased in the state of New Hampshire,” Chris Brown, managing member of New Hampshire Hockey Club, LLC, said. “They’re here on that kind of year, that junior year to get bigger, faster and waiting for their opportunity to go play on their college team.”

The Mountain Kings will travel throughout the Northeast when the inaugural season kicks off this September.
