The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirms a man died in a house fire in west Jefferson County Wednesday morning.
It happened in the 7200 block of Taylors Ferry Road in Concord just before 6 a.m.
Concord Firefighters and Birmingport Firefighters responded to the home along with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities found a man dead inside the home.
The Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will confirm the identity of the victim. No criminal activity is suspected in conjunction with the fire.
