MANCHESTER, NH — The “best comfort food on the planet” gave the community another thing to feel good about this year — Mr. Mac’s Macaroni and Cheese in Manchester raised $2,000 for local charities during its annual “Mac Gives Back” event.
After pledging $1 for every Take & Bake order of their macaroni and cheese throughout October, Mr. Mac’s was able to donate $1,000 each to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Manchester and the Manchester Police Athletic League on Wednesday.
“Mr. Mac’s has always been a community-minded organization and has formalized their charitable giving efforts with the Mac Gives Back initiative,” the restaurant said in a news release. “Making a difference to those in need on a local level is why the initiative has been embraced by all the employees of Mr. Mac’s, their guests, and certainly those in New Hampshire in need.”
Founded in 2010 by brother and sister team Patrick Cain and Valerie Anderson, Mr. Mac’s was made with a vision to build a restaurant “with a foundation of fun, community, and quality,” the restaurant said — something that is showcased every year with the Mac Gives Back event.
“We are so thankful that we can support our local children with this annual donation,” Anderson said. “It truly makes our entire team so proud.”
Mr. Mac’s menu boats signature Mac and cheese varieties like Classic All-American, Cheeseburger Mac, Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Mac, Pulled Pork Mac, White Cheddar Mac, and Blazin’ Buffalo Chicken. The restaurant now offers nationwide shipping.
