Drug Overdose In Concord Park Leads To Habitual Offender Charge: Log

Adam L. Thompson, 46, of Pinewood Trail in Concord was arrested at 9:01 a.m. on July 27, 2023, on a felony operating after certified as a habitual offender charge. Around 10 a.m. on July 3, an officer was sent to Terrill Park along with fire and rescue teams for a report of an overdose. CPR was in progress, according to a report. When police arrived, they found a man, Thompson, on the ground next to a black Hyundai Accent, an affidavit said. He was given Narcan and revived, a report stated.

The officer spoke to a woman who was in the Hyundai as well as a man who was walking a dog who was with them. The man with the dog said the woman who was the passenger waved him over after Thompson was overdosing, the affidavit said. The man said he pulled Thompson out of the car, placed him on the ground, and began performing CPR, the report said.

He denied witnessing Thompson consuming any drugs, the affidavit said. The officer spoke to Thompson who said the last thing he remembered was speaking with the woman about applying to get into rehab, an affidavit said. He was accused of admitting to shooting up before overdosing. A check found Thompson was a habitual offender since November 2021 and should not be driving. He was accused of multiple default payments in December 2021 and failure to appear in court in February 2022 so the NH DMV suspended his license and deemed him a habitual offender.
