Drowning Victim Recovered From Lake in New Hampshire

STRAFFORD, NH (WGME) — The body of a Massachusetts man was recovered from a lake in New Hampshire on Wednesday.

New Hampshire Fish & Game says a dive team recovered the body of Allan Schuh of Massachusetts from Bow Lake in Stratford around 10 a.m.

Officials say he was not wearing a life jacket.

Schuh reportedly went fishing on Tuesday and his wife reported him missing when he did not return home.

A search took place until dark on Tuesday. It resumed Wednesday morning, and his body was recovered about 15 feet offshore.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.

New Hampshire Fish & Game are reminding boaters that the water is still cold and state law requires each boater to have a wearable life jacket with them. The same applies for Maine.
