Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Clinton Street on Monday night for a rollover crash with entrapment.
Just after 11:15 p.m., Capital Region Fire Dispatch received a report about a rollover crash near Birchdale Road. An officer also reported the crash to dispatch and other officers were sent to assist.
Dispatch said they received a call about a possible rollover. But after the driver was transferred from 911 to dispatch, “I couldn’t get her to respond at all,” the dispatcher said.
When the second and third officers arrived, they shut down the street.
One of the officers said the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado responded to them when they spoke with her still inside the vehicle. Police also interviewed two witnesses.
During the crash, the driver struck a utility pole. Concord fire reached out to Unitil, and a crew was sent to the scene.
EMTs took the driver to Concord Hospital a few minutes later.
Just before midnight, an officer interviewed the driver at the hospital. About 20 minutes later, a second officer went to the hospital to speak with the driver.
