Concord Township Reschedules Concert, Plans Picnic and Movie Event

Concord Township has announced plans for a rescheduled summer concert on Sept. 14 and a picnic and movie night on Sept. 16 at its Town Hall gazebo, 7229 Ravenna Road.

The Sept. 14 concert will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and feature Four Kings and a Queen, which was initially scheduled to perform at the township’s rained-out July 6 concert. A township Facebook post said that the band’s music includes “the greatest hits of motown, R&B, funk and much more.”

The concert will also include the Tidy Whitey food truck, said township Recreation Director Sean Supler.

The Sept. 16 picnic and movie night will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and include an outdoor showing of the Super Mario Bros. movie.

Supler said that visitors are invited to bring dinner, blankets or chairs. The township fire department will provide popcorn, while other free treats will also be available.

A township Facebook post invited visitors to register for the movie night by calling the Recreation Department at 440-639-4650. Walkups may also attend.
