The long-standing Enzo’s Pizza, and other businesses in Concord Mall, will soon close their doors.

Enzo’s Pizza has been in the Concord Mall since the 90’s.

Just like a lot of other malls, Concord Mall has struggled to stay keep stores and shoppers.

But now, the 64-acre property will be completely revamped into commercial, residential, and light industrial use.

But having to let go of what’s left in the nearly vacant mall.

“So, it’s a little devastating,” said Aurelio Cordova, Enzo Pizza Employee.

The owner of Enzos Pizza says he received notice about a month ago the popular pizza place would have to close by October 30th.

Their employees just recently heard they’d be without a job.

Other businesses left in the mall also preparing to leave.

“Some of the tenants were given, maybe about a week up to a week to move their things and stuff,” said Cordova.

Cordova says it’s not as much time as they would hope to have to find a new place and relocate..

The owner is actively searching for a new location in which to operate the business.

“Preferably in the area I know a lot of customers are local and they want to be here,” said Cordova.

But as of now, Enzo’s doesn’t have a clear idea of where that will be.

Being the only Enzos Pizza in the area, many go to the Concord Mall solely for the pizza and aren’t too excited about their move.

“Over the years recently here Enzos has just been a great lunch spot for us. We love their pizza, love their service, love their people we’ve used them for a company carriers for our first Fridays, so we are looking forward to them opening up somewhere. We hope it’s soon and we wish them well,” said David Pairitz, Customer.
